i dont get why all my black friends when we get together make the one white guy feel like crap and he didnt ever do anything wrong i dont get why we have to run around like animals if we score a touchdown or when theres a riot i dont get why our women have to be so loud and obnoxious when there trying to make a point i dont get y we cant let stuff that happened 200 yrs ago go. i dont get why we are the most racist race in america but we cant admit it. im not tryin to be an uncle tom im just so embarresed and i want it to stop. we pretend like we agree with martin luther king but were the ones that wont allow whites and blacks to get along ive been around whites and blacks and ive seen waaaaay more blacks being racist to whites than the other way around i hate it!

ive lived in the south i was the only black kid well my family was there too and i got treated like an angel no one would ever do anything rude or look at me bad but the one white kid at my school near chicago was beat up every day called a cracker a honkey he got stabbed and barely lived cause he was white im sick of it did you know that whole jasper texas thing started because 4 black guys took a white guy outa his truck and stabbed him and killed him cause he had a rebel flag????? its horrible im sick of this

if u don't like your friends, separate yourself from them, don't come on the internet and blast my people(and i guess yours too). If you've ever been the only black person in a white circle, you should understand the situation.

People mistake being race conscious for being racist. Just cause black people aren't as afraid as their counterparts to talk about issues of race, doesn't make them racist. If so, then the people you are talking about are racist to all even their own.

But there is nothing wrong with being aware of race, especially in this country. The ethnicity of a man in this country has been the back drop of this country since before its inception. It use to be blatant. Now it's part of everything. For example the man who gives a job to someone he knows over the more qualified person. It might not be cause he's black, but I bet you the black person would never have got into the mans network to be friends enough to get the job.

MLKs message isn't being fulfilled by either side. Don't say just blacks aren't getting along.

Jermaine, A few minutes ago, I read an answer you gave to a Spanish person asking why people are offended when he speaks Spanish. Sorry, but your answer was obscene and down right nasty. So then I checked your profile and found that you also posted a couple of questions today in which you basically state that no Jews showed up for work on 9/11 because they apparently knew what was going to happen. You also accused Jews of being responsible for many bad things in the world. Now you are posting a question in which you state you are ashamed to be black because you feel that the majority of black people are very prejudiced but won't admit it.

I can't figure this out. No one person can possibly hold all these contradictory opinions, so what's up with that? Are you perhaps a student of sociology doing research work for your thesis, and seeing how people react to hate filled statements? Or are you just playing with us?

Well unfortunately you cannot change the world, but you can set an example and stick to your beliefs. That shows how big of a person you are. Dont let the racists convince you otherwise, or turn you around. Racism is something experienced in every race, but we dont all have to be racists.
Stay strong, you will feel better, and dont hate your origin, just prove that being a certain color, doesnt make you racist.

You should never be ashamed of who you are. Sure, there are some bad, messed up black people that are a disgrace to our race but there are many more alive and dead that you shame by posting a message like this. Point blame where it is due and don't condemn an entire race because of the actions of a few ignorant people. Reading your post makes me very ashamed of you. You obviously have not made any effort to educate yourself about the rich heritage and history of African American people. There is much to be proud of. If you are ashamed to be black there are probably some deeper issues that perhaps you and a psychiatrist can discuss but don't insult us all because you have issues with yourself.

The question is, how can we, as a whole society, work together to end all racism? The unfortunate thing is that it is still alive and kicking, the problem now is that people are being discriminated against for more than just their skin color. People are discriminated against because of their jobs, clothing size, physical or mental handicaps. Granted, in the 40 some odd years since Dr. King, we have come along way, but we still have a long way to go.

Not all racists are white. Anyone, of any color or ethnic group, can be a racist when he or she belittles another race. Some time look at the way the American Indians are treated in New Mexico and Arizona. I guess every race has people in it who have to do something so that they can feel superior to another race or group. Maybe someday, if we're very lucky, people will actually learn that racial and ethnic diversity strengthens the human race rather than weakens it.

Most good people hate it too. I don't like racism either, but I don't think it is mainly black people. I live in a town where there are only about 5 blacks. And everyone is very racist in my town. Well not everyone but most about 5 out of 6. It is very embarrasing. Too bad no one can get overthemselves.

Well, I think what you have to do is remember that you are an individual., and people cannot speak or act for you. All you can do is live impeccably. If you know in your heart that you are an honest and good person, than you should worry about the behavior of others.
