Well, my darling twin sister...if you want to keep the babies, put them in a nursery or another tank, yes. Although I just let mine swim with the other's and they seem to be just fine. Some get eaten, some don't...that's the way it goes in guppy land!

Yes you would need to move them. With a Fry net the adult fish will still kill the fry by biting the them through the net. Another option is to put floating plants in the tank for the fry to hide in till they are to big to be eaten. Only a few will survive but it takes care of the problem of too many guppies in your tank. If they are fancy tail guppies Pet store should take them as well.

To move them is a good idea as the parents will eat them. Guppies reproduce every 28 days so you may end up with lots of tanks. There are containers you can put in your tank to hold the frys until they are bigger. It is a plastic cube with tiny holes so that the water washes thru but the older guppies can't get in there to harm them. You may want to ask your local fish store if they want your extras.

the main concern is that you have enough room for all these fish in the tank you have. guppies need 1gal. of water per fish. so you need at least a 21gal tank to keep those fish together. but, if theyre not seperated and the fry are still small, a few might die naturally, or some can get eaten. if your tank's big enough, i'd say leave them and just see what happens. it might suprise you!
good luck!

The first question is how big is your tank? You should only keep 1inch of fish per gallon of water. If you want to keep the babies in the tank, provided that there is enough room, make sure that there are plenty of places for the babies to hide. Some may be eaten, or just die, but pretty soon, the birth and death rate will balance itself out so that the tank will stay nicely balanced.

It depends on if you want 8 fat guppies and no guppy fry or if you want 21 guppies.

you could...they also make special nets that hook to the inside of the tank for baby fish to swim in and the adults can't eat them...check at your local pet store...
