Grounds for Impeachment
There are many reasons for impeaching George Bush. The ones below are the most compelling and most easily prosecuted. (For a more complete list see "Bush should be impeached.")
Lying about the Rationale for the Iraq War
Bush and his team deliberately misled Congress and the American public about the rationale for invading Iraq. Bush convinced a majority of Americans that Iraq was involved with Al-Qaeda and responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Yet the evidence shows that Iraq was not involved. Bush said in his State of the Union Address that "The British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa" to build nuclear weapons. But he had already been told by the CIA that the evidence was forged. Bush claimed to have hard evidence that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. But the UN investigators could not verify any of these claims and searches of Iraq revealed no such weapons. The real reason we invaded Iraq may have more to do with the fact that Iraq has the second largest oil reserves in the world, and sits strategically in the center of the Middle East. Read More...
Illegal Wiretapping of American Citizens
George Bush authorized the NSA to conduct illegal wiretaps on American citizens. Bush claimed that these were justified on the basis of national security. But there is a legal mechanism for conducting emergency wiretaps followed by court approval within 72 hours. Bush ignored that mechanism and exceeded his executive authority. Bush claims he has authority to wiretap anyone he wishes but legal scholars, including some Republican lawmakers, disagree. Read more...
Torture of Prisoners
Bush and his team have set us a system of prisons around the world where prisoners can be tortured. They have transported prisoners from the United States, Europe and elsewhere to other countries for the purpose of having them tortured. They have fought hard to build a legal case for torture but the fact remains that torture is highly illegal. It is also considered an ineffective means of getting reliable information from a prisoner. Bush is guilty of violating of the Federal Torture Act, the UN Torture Convention and the Geneva Convention. Read more...
Violation of International Law
According to our Constitution, International Treaties are part of the "supreme Law of the Land". They are not something that can be ignored when they are inconvenient. Bush's violations of the UN Charter and the Nuremberg Charter are, therefore, impeachable offenses.

And what part of the constitution gives you (and whoever is with you) the authority to do this? The best you can hope for is a nationalized congressional election this fall that will put enough Democrats - who've run on a promise to impeach - in office. There are a few Democrats in office right now, in extremely Liberal districts, that would like to make that happen, but it's not likely - especially since there are no grounds.
Think (like that would happen) about this. Do you really want to set a precedent for voting in congressional mid-term election on the basis of removing a president? Electing people who promise to remove a president on any grounds - even trumped up ones?
calm down.

The problem is if you impeach Bush then Cheney's President (more of an a$$hole and not as stupid) If you get rid of them both then what Condi? How far would we have to go to get someone not involved in the Bush regime?

If you impeach Bush, Cheney could take over! That's possibly the ONLY thing that's worse than Bush!

Careful you may get a lynch mob or feds show up at your house to take you away lol.
Yes he deserves it. He got us into this war and has been supporting unconstitutional spying and now wants to make legal what theyve been doing all along. I guess his supporters dont mind their freedoms taken away and their privacy and turn yet another blind eye to accept we are spied on and controlled.
Ive never seen such a teflon president as this, I would rather he had monica than us be in this war, and for our economy to be better with the fourth largest debt in our nations history.
Theres a reason the rest of the world hates us, maybe we should listen instead of put on our blinders and follow...

We've had officials taken to court...
We have a president who doesn't care about the American people...
People threw a hissy fit when Clinton had an extramarital affair...
But when Bush destroys the country...
*sigh*
We're the only ones not in the Kyoto Protocol...
I just stopped thinking... it's better than to pointlessly get angry at Bush.

Over the past few years (since the war) I have been amazed and impressed at the mockery US television has been making of Bush, a few years ago it would have been sacrilegious... times have changed and lots of US citizens are pissed off.
