I keep getting these strange e-mails from people overseas saying that I've won some kind of lottery or that I need to claim my inherritence. And then they want me to pay for them to mail it to me.
Are you friggin' kidding me?
Sometimes I like to play along just to piss them off. What about you?

I've never gotten any e-mails like that, but I usually report as spam any e-mail that I get from unknown senders and I don't open them.

If you answer them, you confirm that they have gotten a valid e-mail address and they can then use your address to send out all kinds of nasty stuff.

Please don't play along. Those things are scams and they try to get people's personal information to rip them off. I've received these emails before and they get reported as spam and deleted. There was a warning about those emails on Dateline a little while ago.

It's NOT just you...I think everybody gets those. I would never "play along"...there are some really computer savvy people out there who can break into your computer and steal passwords, credit card information etc. Be careful!
