No, best answers should be chosen if they are really the best. It's kind of pathetic to be that hungry for points or that desperate for a best answer to have to ask someone to pick yours.

It's okay to ask if you are sure you gave a good, decent answer and also if they feel they should choose your answer and not someone else's.
