I'm thinking about purchasing an iPod shuffle, but I'd like to know what you all think about it first. Is it worth the $$$$$ ?

I have one..I like it for many reasons

1) I got it for $100 including a warranty. Im a simple person and Im not about to go spend two hundred and some odd dollars on an IPOD..so $100 was my limit.

2) Yup Im simple and like the fact that it plays music in the order you want or you can "shuffle" it around. I dont care to see a screen with the song or music video. I think the younger kids are more into that. I just use mine when I excersize.

3). Its small so it can fit just about anywhere.

4). I say go with the shuffle, its basic and with technology now a days everything changes so there will always be something you can upgrade to if you want.

A 5G iPod Video is the best. I will give you a whole bunch of reasons why it is worth it (I have one by the way.) First, it can hold 7500 songs. You don't see many MP3 Players that can do that do you? Also, the video capabilities option is wonderful. I have at least 100 videos on mine, a bunch of south park episodes, the simpsons, family guy, and 10 movies on top of that, and still room for 750 songs and over 400 photos, with 5GB to spare for whatever I want. And the iPod is one of the very few Mp3 players that can be hacked. I mean the real deal, playing Doom, Half-Life, Quake, and more games on it, writing text documents on it, painting pictures on it, and a whooole lot more. Look into iPod Linux, Rockbox, and iPod Wizard (for more info on this, go to http://iPodForum.co.nr .) And I could go on an on all day about why you should get the iPod Video. One other reason: once you have it in your hand the first time, you will never put it down. It's got a great look and I take mine everywhere. To school, on the bus, to the mall, my friends' houses, I even listen to it when I'm falling asleep. I'm addicted to it. I love it. If you get one then you will definately know what I am talking about. By the way, I was just talking about the 30GB iPod. If you get the 60GB iPod, then you can double everything I said which would be even better (the 60GB iPod is $400 and the 30GB is $300.) Good luck with your decision.

It isn't worth it because it holds minimal songs. If you are going to purchase an iPod, get a Nano or higher. I have a Nano now and had a Shuffle. The Shuffle doesn't let you see what song you are playing either. I like knowing what I am playing and what is coming next...

don't get one. ipod shuffles are known as one of the worst products you can purchase. there's something wrong with the ipod shuffle, where they will blink a green/yellow light and just shut off. And there's no way to turn it back on.

DO NOT get an IPod Shuffle for any reason. You can't pick the song u want to listen to easily & it's way too easy to break.

dont get those unless ur only guna use it for excersizing. get an ipod mini or any other besides shuffle so u can see wat song u want to listen to.

this way u can pick wat songs u want to listen to. depending on how u feel.

first of all... ipod shuffle is of course worth it.. and they lowered the price... so ipod shuffles start at like $69... just get one.

I think it's cool. 69 dollars for 512 MB of memory. You can store 120-130 songs on it.
They have a 1 GB for 99 dollars, and you can store twice as many songs.
