observation : when i am in the southern hemisphere, the lower part of the globe, i should fall.

Gravity is the simple answer, but to explain it a bit further might prove useful.

It is erroneous to state that the earth has a bottom. The southern hemisphere is simply another part of the planet just like the northern hemisphere. It's those globes that make you think that there is a bottom. The better way to think of it is that no matter what point that you are on the earth, down will be in the direction of the centre of the planet.

The orientation of up and down in space are generally meaningless. One way that I can think about it is that I have a globe that I intentionally put the southern hemisphere on "top". This is as valid a position as putting the northern hemisphere on top. In space, there's no desk or table by which we can assume a down in regard to north and south.

Gravity pulls to the center of the earth.So when your standing outside gravity is actually trying to pull you to the center of the earth.

In space there IS NO up or down. What we call up and down are really toward and away. Toward (the gravity source) is "down". As long as you are on the earch down is always towards the center.
