I would go back to 1774 to meet Marie Antoinette. I would warn her to avoid gambling, staying out late, going to parties without her husband, spending lots of money, associating with her brothers-in-law and their shady friends, disobeying her mother and brother, ignoring her education, and all the other mistakes she made that hastened her downfall.

I would go back to a cold night in december 1980 in New York city and (without sounding too harsh) I would push Yoko Ono in front of John Lennon, so Lennon wouldn't have died.
Hopefully yoko ono wouldn't die either (maybe the bullet would just injure her)
But how good would it have been to see what Lennon made of the UK in the 1980's and 90's.
And there may well have been a Beatles reunion.

I would want to go back to the time of Virgil when he was writing the Aeneid. This is one of my favourite epic poems and I believe it would be wonderful to read it with Virgil's guide. The Augustinian age also was a time of great scientific, cultural and social change and Augustus himself as an emperor was greatly committed to creating the image of Rome as we now know it.
I would also love to meet the two leaders Julius Caesar and Claudius- the two ultimate symbols of ancient Romans. I would also warn Caesar not to go to Senate on the ides of March.

I would go back to biblical times and meet Jesus, and I would go back to prehistoric times and see if everything we have been told my scientists is true. I would also go back and warn Washington that the Governemtn would screw up really bad after his death, and that it would keep going downhill over the years, who knows, maybe that would change something about our sucky government today....
