bcuz no one else will. simpsons do it tasefully and subtlely while family guy is bold and daring about it. not everyone shares the same beliefs or adheres to the same "code" as everyone else. these shows produce cult lke following for that reason that they will go against the grain and as long as they rake in the ratings, tv execs will keep playing them.

I don't watch either show but I would guess that after the Rodney King incidents people are afraid nowadays of being accused of being predjudice or racist. That's exactly why.
