Why can't they accept, for once, that their national team didn't play well and got rightfully kicked out of the tournament?
I mean the only time I remember the English team playing well were at the world cup 1990 in Italy.

I'm an England fan and I'm quite glad they didn't win, they don't try anymore, those million pound salaries are making them lazy. Bring on the amateur teams! My husband's Italian so we were able to celebrate anyway.

well the main reason why their so upset their team loss or early exit out of worldcup because i think because this England team probably the best player they ever put toghter, u got aleast 4 captain of clubs in the team (Beckham, Lampard, Gennard, Owen) alot of those are serious midfield. I think the England team lack some striker killer,Ronney ain't bad consider a rookie. But is the luck that killing them. U guys do know That England team totally salary combire is highe than both France and Italy team player, just look how $ they spend.

Because they always think that they have the best players in the national team, eg. Gerrard, Beckham, Rooney etc, so the team must be good. But in fact, these players don't perform well together as a team plus, they have a lousy coach.

It's most likely to do with the British losing streak that's been on for the last 230 years. Sure, the Falkland Islands were a win, but what did they go up against? Vicuna and sea gulls?

I agree with the person before me - it all comes down to beer. They have a history of violence in soccer games that is known around the world and that in itself is pretty embarrassing. They don't even stop with their own stadiums if anyone remembers the Liverpool stadium that was destryed!!! Crazy folks and I will never understand, just stay away to avoid trouble.

oh come on now...every country has their fair share of sore losers, some even have their fair share of sore winners. Disappointment is a part of football. We all go through it, we all love our teams, and sometimes things simply elude us. The trophy eludes many, not just England.

we played poorly and it`s a hard pill to swallow but you really should not generalise a whole nation of football fans.we have some good players who just don`t do it in international competitions, also, our f.a usually employs sub-standard managers on long-term contracts who are paid the second highest salary in football management and are not given any minimum requirements for success.

They truly believe they have great players, so, when they lose, they can't accept it. Besides, they never play good football, just run a lot and center the ball.

good question. another good question is, why are we still talking about it? they lost big deal. if italy lost (too bad they won the world cup ^_____^) i would be like sad they lost. and then move on with my life. does that mean im not a deciated fan? no. it just means that life will go on and that there will be more world cups. so english fans just need to sit tight and wait another 4 years and see wat happens
