I am married and have a daughter. My economic situation is alright, but I know I can do much better. I work part-time for a special education program. The pay is average, but at the end of the fiscal year, IRS charges me $1,000 for not withholding. I want to apply for a full time position, but I feel so bad leaving the parents and leaving my projects midway. Should I progress or stay stuck?

You should not stay stuck if you arent happy or think you can do better! What you could do is look for someone who is looking for a job like the one you have now and tell them about the projects you would leave. Then you could tell your employer about this person and tell them that you could work with them and them for a little while until they understand your concepts before you leave!
Good luck and do what makes you happy!

You should finish whatever "projects" you started. Do not punish your students by leaving in the middle. You can finish up and give them plenty of time to adjust before you decide to leave. This way you won't upset them as much and the school will have plenty of time to train a replacement.

(so leave...but not yet )

You got to do what you got to do. If you get a job full time and make more money go for it. You have a daughter to support nobody can judge you. So quit and be happy

look for a full time job if that is what you want.
hate to say this but any job you have now can survive without you
it may take awhile to fill your shoes but it will go on. So you need to make yourself happy
