Really take a look at the situation and what is going on. I have been adopted from the day I was born through a doctor and a lawyer. Sometimes you just have to leave it up to the stars and pray.
The laws are different then when I was adopted, I don't know anything about my birth parents nor do I honestly care to, would it be cool to know a little back ground. Yeah, but honestly, why? Really check out what and who and everything, I have worked with kids in so many avenues of education and I have seen what can happen. There are a lot of messed up people in the world who have babies and are willing to give them up for adoption, but not all of them are healthy.
Adoption is a great answer and there are a lot of avenues, ask question so to people who have adopted, who are adopted, of agencies, and a lawyer.
It is the best place to start. GOOD LUCK! There is a child out there for you to love.

The only advice I can give you is to he honest with the child you recieve. It is in their best intrest and yours that they know that they are adopted. Tell them at a young age so it is second nature to them and they are not tramatized when they are older. Plus they wont get a wild hair up their butts when they turn 18 and go searching for these parents and get their hopes but only to be let down. It doesnt always turn out to be a fairytale story.

I heard that it is the easiest to adopt a baby through an attorney. That way it is a private adoption. And a little cheaper then going through an agency.

Try the county children services in your area. We adopted my husband's sister's kid but it was a different situation she had him on drugs & was taken away. To this day he is mine and just as if I had him naturally. I always receive flyers in the mail from the children services about adopting another child.
