Let's see, in every peace accord made with surrounding nations, it was Israel who relinquishes territory, thus resolutely working towards a peaceable resolution. Can anyone tell me the last time Hezbollah has made serious concessions to Israel without Israel having to coerce it out of them?

Furthermore Hezbollah purposely targets civilians, while Israel targets Hezbollah’s infrastructure, with sometimes-catastrophic results following because civilians get in the way. If Israel, with its formidable military might were actually trying to target civilians the way Hamas or Hezbollah does, trust me the death toll of civilians would be in the hundreds of thousands within a 1 or 2 years.

Just given these aforementioned facts one can side with Israel even if one is not that familiar with the historical context of the Israeli/Arab conflict.

Both. As much as I'd like to assign blame to Hezbollah, I find it difficult to justify the loss of hundreds of civilian Lebonese lives in a conflict that even Israel has admitted is no longer about the kidnapped soldiers.

As someone else stated earlier:

If you disarmed Hezbollah and Hamas, the fighting would end today.

If you disarmed Israel, Hezbollah and Hamas would wipe Israel out.

Seems obvious where the problem is to me.

Idiots who say Hezbollah ... this is funny .. you completely destroy a whole a country .... just because two soldiers were kidnapped? in which law this is possible? where is human rights's watch or is it sleeping ... you cannot justify the killing of 400+ civilians just to rescue 2 soldiers .... but it isn't your fault really ... its our fault ... we became cheap to the eyes of everyone .... we don't care anymore ... can you imagine that ... how many lives Israel willing to kill until they realize that its only 2 soldiers they are bombing and slaughtering the innocent civilians ... it isn't bush's fault either ... he cannot help it ... it is a disaster in Lebanon now .... Israel is not defending it self .... it is killing and murdering and the fake feelings they feel that they are defending themselves are not real ... even if Hezbollah is wrong .. what did that dead children did to deserve that missile in their heads... Israel ... you cannot justify what you are doing ... you are simply enjoying the power of weapons brought to you by USA ....... this is considered terrorism ... what is this word anyway ... it is "TERROR" ... you are terrorizing about a million trying to survive your deadly missiles .... and yet everyone is happily sleeping like there is nothing happened.... oh god i hope they stop that killings soon....

Definitely Hezbollah. They have been like a buzzing fly around the face of Israel for along time, by sending suicide bombers in for the last few years. It's about time Israel got out their big fly swatter and smacked the crap out of them.

Hezbollah Israel gave them the Gaza strip, in return they hold two Israeli soldiers hostage. They returned evil for good. Seems them palestinians are never happy unless they get rid of Israel.
