Home depo sells some, but yes I agree old t-shirts work best and of course the price is right.

Home Depot - Bag o' Rags. Or just cut up some fruit of the loom undershirts.

Wal-Mart where they keep regular towels and washcloths. They are called utility cloths and cost around $2.50 for 9 per pack. They are a very good size.
