Are you using regular cotton tampons (the ones you buy in a box at a grocery store)? If so, you should never reuse them. You should wear them for no more than 8 hours, then throw the used tampon away and put in a new one. But if you're using a sea sponge or other tampon that is meant to be reused, those are typically good for about 6 months. You just have to be sure to clean them thoroughly before reinserting them. Remember, though, that most tampons aren't reusable. If you're interested in reusable sea sponge tampons, many health food stores carry them or you can check out the link below.

NO!!! Do not use tampons more than once! Tampons are only supposed to be used one time and then thrown away! You can get really sick and even die from using them and then putting them back in. Once you take them out they need to be flushed right away! Tampons get nasty and dirty once you take them out! Also they can get that way if you leave them in too long.
Just some advice from someone whose been using them since she was 14........... :)
Remember: Change your tampon whenever it is full or every 6-8 hours as needed. The longest your should leave them in for is 8hrs. Overnight is fine but make sure you use a fresh one before bed and change it as soon as you get up!

reuse? what do you mean? are you rinsing them out and using them again? If that's the case then stop immediately! No joke, you could end up in the hospital!!

No! It's not safe! It's unsanitary , you should only use them once and throw it away using a fresh one after you discard the old one.
