Be independent, have goals...you'll see you NEED to work....

You can think of the things you like and start looking something related to that...

An interesting question. The answer would have to also apply to many in our country that choose not to work. Motivation implies "what's in it for me". Unfortunately, our country in too many cases has chosen to make being a bum easier than working.

I guess that answer would involve a sense of integrity, improving your self-worth and not being a leech to society.

Well, think of it this way: Do you like having money? If yes then do you like being able to buy anything you see? If yes again then that should be all the motivation you need.
