I have burpless cucumbers and they are trained on a fence. The cuc's are all curling up. I just harvested one that was a full 'U'. Please help!

It has to do with how much water they get. They grow at different rates when they get different amounts of water. The middle part that is skinny is where they didn't get as much water. Then they start getting more water, they fatten up and start curling. I'm not really sure why they don't just grow straight with a skinny spot in the middle, but that's what people have told me.

I don't know an answer but I'm having the EXACT same problem. Were your cucs doing fine earlier on? Mine were. Maybe it IS due to the heat and lack of water.
