I have a friend who I think is on drugs. Seriously. How can you tell if a person is on crack cocaine? And when they are coming down from it, do they generally lose weight and are they absolutely unable to hold any food down? How does their face normally appear? ie: bloodshot eyes, runny nose. Any info that you could give me would really be appreciated.

Bloodshot eyes, runny noes really means he is sniffing something. The weight loss and lack of appetite are another good indicator. He is bad news. Best you keep away -- far far away.

First off any of your friends that may look as you describe should be taken to a doctor. I may not be drugs at all but some type of disease. There are many different maladies that can give those same symptoms.

If the person is a close friend tell them straight to their face, "You look horrable. Do you feel sick?" If the person says yes then urge the to see a doctor.

If they say NO I'm fine. Then there is really not much you can do.

Whom ever this person is they are fortunate to have a friend that cares.

There is a loss of appetite. in turn causes them to lose weight. The skin becomes patchy looking. It really breaks the body down. I don't know how they act when they come down , but fidget a lot when they are high on crack. Mouth movement & hand movement etc. In some cases they grind their teeth.

Pupils get really large, they are fidgety and irritable. Usually dont eat very much if at all. If they haven't slept in a day or two or five, then, yea, their eyes will be blood shot. But if all they have is a runny nose and red eyes, it could just be allergies.

rapid weight lose is a sign of drug use, when smoke crack you do not want to eat i mean anything you really cant your stomach cant hold it... i would look for bags under the eyes, wided eyed, cold hands or calmy and in worst cases peeky out of the blinds at 4:00 in the afternoon!!

Well, it definitely sounds as though your friend may be sick, even if she is not on drugs. Just tell her that you are concerned about her and encourage her to come to you if she needs to talk. Providing that you are trustworthy and not running your mouth, the way that you are on here.

Where does this person work? My company has random drug testing. Maybe you could slip a word in to his boss to get him tested. Then maybe he'll be put in a treatment facility.
