Ohhhh I loved those scary stories. I remember there was one story that made me afraid to read the rest, but I can't remember for the life of me what that particular story was. I think it had something to do with someone who didn't have a face? Maybe the story was blocked from my mind for a reason. But anyway, there was another story about a cactus and spider babies that scared me enough that I have been afraid of spiders ever since.

I loved that book. The one that scared me the most was the story where people go down to Mexico and adopt a dog, and they think it's sick, so they take it to the vet. It looks like it swallowed some soap. And the vet takes one look at it and says, "This isn't a dog. It's a Mexican sewer rat - and it's rabid."

My youthful toddlers all started reading them at 8 (2d grade). contained in the school reading software, the books are in a 4th grade element. The memories themselves did not scare my youthful toddlers, in spite of the indisputable fact that the memories mixed with many of the artwork did. they could use somewhat of pc paper to conceal the images even as they study the memories.
