try to stay busy. Surround yourself with friends who make you happy. Write e-mails, letters and talk to him when you can, but don't sit around and think about it too much. Get involved, get out of the house, go have fun. It will take your mind off of it for a little while anyway. Eventually, it will probably get easier. Good Luck!

GOOD QUESTION!!!!!!!!!! I'm trying to figure out the same thing. My bf just moved to Georgia to finish his nursing degree.....thank God he'll be back in 8 months to a year.....if not I don' t know if I can handle it.
Do you have a job or something? I know that is the thing that is driving me crazy is the fact that I am off for summer break and not a whole lot going on during the week, so I go crazy and have him on my mind.....then I end up bawling about him. What you need to do is get involved in something, find a new hobby, hang out with some friends, catch up on movies, go to the gym, etc to keep your mind preoccupied and off of him. Once you do that, then time will fly by. I will be excited to start back to work again in a few weeks just because I am so busy with work that the time flies by so fast without even knowing it. Good luck!

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

just believe in your heart you will see him again, and know that he loves you, if this is what you truly believe... we never lose our love ones, if we love those who are lost... just remember, he is not lost, but just gone for a little while. if you can contact him, just sweetly tell him that you love him and miss him and hope to see him soon!
and if you think he doesnt love you, and he wont come back, go to the mall or do something that you love for a while, and you will forget about him and find someone new in NO time!

Be busy. Do something. Talk with others about other subjects besides him. My wife went to Spain for a month. It sucked bad. I would just say stay busy. If you are spiritual at all, pray for help. Hope this helps.
