As likely as finding it on this planet

There is only one solar system we know a great deal about - our own - and it has life. It even has some intelligent life. I think that in nature things work the same in one location as they do in another. So it is quite likely, in my opinion, that the development of life is more the rule than the exception in other solar systems. The stars are quite far apart but we might be able to receive signals if they were sent from elsewhere. If there were life on one of the close stars in our own arm of the Milky Way Galaxy and they sent us a message today it might take over 10,000 years before it would arrive to Earth even at the speed of light. So even if there is life out there we may never know and we might quite be better off not knowing (see Mars Attacks). I think we ought to broadcast signals of Hank Williams music non-stop throughout the Galaxy just in case.

Sure. It would be almost impossible for this not to be so. We are truly star dust and not in a sing song way either. We are as the universe is, we are made of the same stuff. That stuff is everywhere out there. Is there anything we can think of that couldn't be? I would be inclined to think not, my opinion only of course.

There's barely intelligent life on THIS planet!

Actually yes. Jupiter just had a meteor or whatever crash and scientists are now saying they could be undergoing the same process that the Earth went through. Fascinating, isn't it?

What makes you so sure there's intelligent life on this planet? ;)

Nope, God and Jesus said we are the center of everything and Jesus loves me, so no, no such thing as aliens or whatever, to believe so is a sin and you won't be saved!

just kidding, yes, of course, to think otherwise is ignorant beyond ignorance

absolutley-readily demonstrated by a not too horrible application probability theory- but who knows how intelligent-more than ourselves or less than a dog?
