Yes. Many liberals support what is known as communism, only by a different name.
Edit: I read this this morning in a book called "Betrayed by the Bench." Hopefully you will see this since I'm writting it kinda late...
"Who makes up this American Civil Liberties Union? During its history the ACLU has regularly defended communists, the distribution of pornography, and special rights for himosexuals while opposing the rights of citizens to acknowlede God in a variety of ways. Why?
Many true civil libertarians become involved in the ACLU at times. They have a sincere intrest in prtecting constitutional rights of all citizens. Rees Lloyd, author of the American Legion article, was one of them. However, to put the actions and the positions of the ACLU into a correct perspective one must examine its history and origin.
The ACLU was founded in 1920. The founding director was Roger Baldwin. In his 193 college-reunion yearbook Baldwin said: 'I have continued direction the unpopular fight for the rights of agitation as director of the American Civil Liberties Union. I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class and sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal.'
Baldwin was not alone. Joining him on the founding board of the ACLU were Rev. Harry F. Ward, Louis Budenz, Elizabeth Gurley Flynn, and William Z. Foster. All were communists. Ward organized what became the first officially-designated communist front in America, The Methodist Federation for Social Action. Both Foster and Flynn later became heads of the Communist Party U.S.A. (CPUSA). Budenz, until he broke with communism thirty years later, served for years as the editor of The Communist Daily Worker.
Baldwin was active in the ACLU until 1981. His two books were "Letters From Soviet Prisons" and "Liberty Under The Soviets." In his books, Baldwin expressed support for the communist 'experiment' in the Soviet Union and for the RUssian dictators Lenin and Stalin. In "Letters From Soviet Prisons" Baldwin said the Russian Revolution was "...the greatest and most daring experiment yet undertaken to recreate society in terms of human values...of inclculable value to the development of the world."
Earl Browder, General Secretary of the CPUSA, acknowledged that the ACLU was 'a transmission belt' for the Communist Party. His stattement was published on page 26 of the Setember 7, 1939 New York Times."

communists and socialist both. If you look at the illegal immigration marches and see who was at them, you would have seen the communist party (for real) was there. Socialism is alive and well in the democrat party.

yes they are. I guarantee you will find at least one representative of every political idealism in America if you look hard enough.
I do not think that liberals are communists.

A few. Do you want to make them illegal? Maybe round them up and put them in special camps?
