I just wanted to share my fondness for the group the Smiths!! Morrissey is the greatest. Just want to meet other Smith/Morrissey fans!!!!

As someone who "grew up" on 80's music, I always thought they were unique, if not ahead of their time.
I think you have to be in a certain mood to appreciate their music, and I think that "How Soon Is Now?" is one of the best ethereal songs ever produced.

They are only one of my all time favorite bands! If you ever get a chance to go to england, be sure to bring your smiths cds. We got to take a long drive to Scotland listening to them in the gloomy weather - awesome!

PS - I agree with Eric. How soon is Now is so totally moving - could be one of the best songs ever done.
If you think the Smiths are depressing, try the Tears for Fears album The Hurting. A beautiful yet super depressing collection of songs.

morrissey or the smiths, doesn't matter, i like both the same. one of my biggest influences in songwriting, love the music.
my favorites are:
"there is a light that never goes out"
"pretty girsl ake graves"
"this charming man"
"bigmouth strikes again"
and everything else, too; but these are a few essentials.
