They still have a very good team but losing Mike Grier is a bigger loss than most people think. He's a great two-way forward.
But yeah, Buffalo will definitely be in the playoffs, but I see them as a 6-8 seed this year.

I see most of the division getting worse as of today. The Bruins are improved but not going to make the playoffs. Montreal has done nothing, may not make the playoffs. Toronto is improved because Lindros is gone and who knows if Raycroft will stop a beach ball this year. Ottawa is slightly weaker and still the best in the NE. Buffalo will easily make the playoffs, probably finished 2nd in NE as of today unless something changes like a big trade. Come playoff time is mostly luck and injuries and physical conditioning that determine how far you go in the playoffs.

Not if that new logo comes to pass. The players will be so ashamed to be on a team with that logo that they will do horriable. Seriously it is that sick. Go to fixthelogo.com and see it, and sign their petition. Not a direct fan of the Sabres but for the moment I am just to support fixing that thing. More a fan of not having things that horriable done to a team. Anyway though I don't think the team will get to game 7 of the Confrence Finals or win the Confrence, which is technically what they need to match the success.

I feel sorry for the Buffalo fan's because you had such a great team last year and could not beat Carolina due to injures, coach of the year Miller you guys had it all, but lost to the team that later won the cup. I was cheering for Buffalo to win the cup and I'm a Leafs fan, but I still think Buffalo can do it if they get 1 or 2 big named player then they can be serious contenders.

Doubtful. Historically the teams that lose in the Finals and Semi-Finals tend not to do as well the next season. Add to that, they lost McKee and you saw how D depth was a problem vs. Carolina.
I hope they do have another great season as it's always fun when Buffalo goes deep in the playoffs. Those are real hockey fans in the Niagara area.

its way to early to really say. so far the players we have lost will not make that huge of an impact on the Sabres. We have signed a couple of amazing players as well. Hopefully the rumoured trade with Marty Biron and Max Afinogenov to Florida for Steven Weiss and Jay Bouwmeester will happen. Jay Bouwmeester is an amazing player.
So, in the end... I'm most sure that it will all work out for us.

With all the arbitration cases the Sabres are going through, they'll have a hard time to keep the core players they had last year.
Expect trades if players win their arbitration cases.

It's still too early to say. They have a lot of players from last year they still have not signed. They lost Mike Grier and Jay McKee and if they lose Daniel Briere it will be tough.

I don't think they will. They have lost Jay McKee and Mike Grier. The team chemistry was great last year. Toronto and Boston have done alot to improve themselves.

I honestly don't think they will do as well. I still think they will make the playoffs and may even reach the quarterfinals, but I don't think they'll get within a game's width of the Stanley Cup finals.
