in t'office we've used (and still use in most cases)

telewest - it's ok but a bit pricey, but if you need a cable service you only have one choice in UK (telewest or ntl depending on your location, and they're the same company now!)

nildram - works great and they know the techie stuff. Probably the best

freedom2surf - cheep, cheerful and robust. Nothing wrong with it.

demon - a bit inclined to flip out

phone co-op - heart's in the right place, customer service is earnest and personal, but they're struggling a bit to keep up so we had some boo boos

pipex - never caused us any grief as far as I recall

talktalk, free broadband:my ****... they charge line rental £12 international package £10, bloke told me it is not in my area when i signed up so for the first month only which cost £10 to rent BT line, turns out they will never have it available and it cost £30 plus vat it cost £80 to quit unless i wait 18 months, what a mess, they are getting BT to provide but it is their responsibility. customer service is bad. phone ques: 1min to buy, 30min customer service which is useless anyway

tiscali, although i am slightly tempted by the new sky one coming out. i hear tiscali are close to announcing an 8mb line for £17.99 real soon.
