Before I found this out, I had multiple entries such as usfishing.com,
cal fish and game, and some I may not want others to see, such as grand kids who sometimes spend more time on the computer then I do. How do I prevent this and how do I delete what is already on it?

Internet Explorer has a feature called AutoComplete, which as the name implies finishes URLs and various form input.

1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. Click on the Tools drop down menu.
3. Click on Internet Options.
4. Click the Content Tab.
5. Click the AutoComplete button.
6. Uncheck any of the options you don’t want to use AutoComplete for.

If you mean search entries, deleting the history of your browser will not solve this problem.
If you are using Internet Explorer you will need to clear the autocomplete entries.
tools
internet options
content tab
click on auto complete
then clear the forms and password

that should delete all search entries that you tried.

if you want to delete all the websites that you visited then you will need to clear the history of the browser you are using.

While you didn't specify which search you were talking about, I found that Mywebsearch and Yahoo Search both have the down arrow menus and they both have the options for Clear History on them. Otherwise, do as the answer about Internet Options directed to clear your address bar history.
