I wonder if there is a reason as for the brand of computer I own. I'm thinking perhaps you are ready to buy a new pc and are not sure which way to go. All brand names are pretty good, they stay very compettetive. Go with a brand that has excelent tech support. HP has great support, Dell has on-site support. Good luck

i have 2 laptops one with slackware and one with collegelinux.

i have an emachines 500 mhz with windoze 98 planning to change to linux.

i have a 600Mhz and 440Mhz which are clustered together with openmosix 2.6 beta and my own set of userland tools.

i have a 2 processor 3.0Ghz gentoo linux 300Gb hard drive which i built myself.

and i have a windoze xp which i keep for school and is the one i am using right now.

i use the windoze one to test software on both linux and windoze.
