I'm undecided as to whether I would vote for woman or not. Can that happen and what do you think would change about the US. What if a woman President wanted to go to war, would you support her or be shocked that a woman would agree with war. Will Poverty end, taxes go away. I doubt anything would really change, what do you think.

I think we'd have to have two female presidents for at least 8 to 12 years in office to see any real change.

Our next elections we will probably get one. I'd certainly vote for her unless it was a time of serious war like WW III or something like that otherwise go females. It would take several female presidents a majority of female congress women in order to really sway America. I hope that when my generation is in charge that their are no female presidents because my generation is in trouble as it is and the females don't really have morales or respect for themselves. Their are a lot but a large amount of them say they respect themselves but really don't and if you don't believe me go to the Teens and Preteens section of Yahoo Answers, look at the female answers and responses and you will see exactly what I am talking about. I don't care if you liberals say that that sounds sexist but it is the truth.

I would vote for a female canidate if she was qualified. In general though a male is better for the job. Other country's leaders may deal with a woman president different then a man president. Also, I think in general men were designed to take the leadership role. I think men tend to keep emotion separated from real issues better then women.

I have nothing against having a female president. Male or female, if they can do the job right, I'm all for it. The only problem I can see is that on a diplomatic level, many other cultures see women as inferior and may have a hard time in their dealings with the US with a woman as president.

Yes, I think we will, in our lifetime. (And she may even be black.) Other nations have had top female leaders (Margaret Thatcher, Kim Campbell, the only female Prime Minister of Canada, etc.)

I think a woman's sensibilities are a little more refined and less violent. I think she would be a bit more reluctant to go to war, and would be more on the side of moral judgment than political corruption. People like to take partisan sides, with either Condi or Hillary, but I would rather take the side of gender -- female over male.

This topic makes think of Liberia's recently elected Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf. She is the world's first black female president and likewise Africa's first elected female head of state. She spoke of eliminating the mass rape of young girls in Liberia and wanted to focus on education as means to rise above poverty.

I don't think a man would have that same type of conviction. Especially the rich white ones who have never seen poverty.

I hope gender doesn't matter, but I bet that someday soon we will have viable female candidates, Condi Rice comes to mind and Hillary. Both are capable women, and Electable. Imagine, Condi Rice, the First Female and First Black President! What a coup for the Republican party. I hope they are not to narrow minded to see this.
