Swim or dive?
.....Swiming....Swimming as in distance crossed such as a pool. 1 min. is able to be done for one holding their breath and with a good stroke should be able to do 50 meters.
.....Diving......Free Diving as in depth down and then returning to the surface without the use of scuba equipment. A good free diver can stay down for 3 min at about 20 feet gathering pearls, sponges, or fish. There are people that use heavy weights to drag them down deep, then the let go and return to the surface to set world records.
"NOTE about Diving with out compressed air. You can take a breath and dive and return to the surface as quick as you like. Diving using compressed air (SCUBA) you can descend rapidly but ascending you must regulate you return to the surface due to the bends, Nitrogen poising."

Provided that you wear a nask and flippers, 30 feet is doable for most people. Trained divers can go even deeper.
