i am going swimming next week and that is when i start my period should i go and use a tampon or just chill somewhere else?

a tampon if you really want to go. since its summer i would go and use a tampon. go to beinggirl.com on help to use a tampon

Sorry, I'm not a woman, but you should go swimming! There isn't anything bad about swimming with a tampon in. Just clip the string shorter so it doesn't hang out. As a scuba diver I see strings hanging out all the time. Clip it short enough to stay inside, but long enough to be able to grab it later. Good luck

I think it all depends on if you like tampons. You shouldn't wear one just to go swimming if you don't like them. And make sure to check it if you do go. You'd hate to leak in the water.

if you are comfortable using tampons, then go ahead and use one. If this is uncomfortable for you still, then find something else to do. Good luck.

use a tampon...but be sure to change it every 4 hours to avoid a noticeable leak!
