Drink lots of water, use sun screen, and if you like bandannas, soak in cold water before putting on your head. Take along a spray bottle to spritz your face and neck with occasionally.

Get an ice chest full of ice and bottled water. Get a clean white cotten hand towel. Use the iced water to wet it down and put it on top of your head. Drink a bottle of water every 20 to 30 minutes, and try to get into a shade when you can. They also sell small handheld personal fans, some with water misters. Good luck.

Make sure you have lots of water.
Wear a hat and sunscreen.
Wet down a bandana and tie it around your neck.
Wear light colored clothing to reflect and not absorb the heat.
We live in Hilton Head, SC and it's 108 here today. I've got on a wet bathing suit and I'm a cool and happy girl.

Wet towel around the neck when in sun is awesome.
The heat sensors in your body only work if you brain gets supplied with heated blood and that makes you sweat and feel the heat.
A wet towel around the neck cools the blood going to the head. Keeps your brain from over heating and thus you feel cool even if is hot out.....
Try it...... It works great....

Get yourself wet. Carry a spray bottle with cold water and mist yourself often. Wet a small towell and drape it over your neck. Fill a bag of ice and use it to cool parts or the body. Get a big cup of ice water to drink.

you must be near me! I take a small cooler, filled with ice, and put wash towels in it. Put them around your neck while out in the heat. Be sure to wear a brimmed hat and loose clothing, too. Try to stay in the shade (105 by the weather man is in the shade. It's 115 in the sun!).

Take a break in good shade as often as you can. Also take plenty of water to drink and drink it often, not just when you start to feel like you need it. If you wait until then you will probably already be feeling the affects of the heat that could hurt your health.
