my favorite mlb team is the angels and my favorite nba team are the heat i like the redskins but i dont know if i can realy like them because i hate there colors and there my home team so tons of other people like them

Then make his current team your favorite team.
Or do you like a particular style of football.
Lots of action on offense...go with the Colts.
Snot Nose Defense who wins the game on their own D merit...go with DA Bears.
Lots of young talent and up and comers....go with the Cardinals or Bengals.
Only like a winner...go with the current champion Steelers (or the Patriots who have won 3 titles recently).
Or a lovable loser...go with the Lions.

If you're just picking a team out of thin air, look at the stats and pick a team that hasn't been doing too well lately but is definately expected to do better this year.
The reasons to do this are that you don't want to go for a team like the colts because they are expected to win and it isn't as exciting AND if the team you choose does get to the playoffs and does well, everyone will want to cheer for them (the underdog) and you are the true fan that was there since the beginning - no bandwagon!

If you really are starting to be a fan, either:
pick a team from your area
or
pick a team that sucks
if you pick a team that's already doing well, you'll seem like a bandwagon jumper. The most important thing is to stick with your team. I've been a lifelong 49ers fan and have seen the best of times and the worst of times.

How about the Broncos? They're not a dynasty team like the colts, Patriots, or Steelers. They are a good team tho and they're 7-4. And our fans arent like eagles fans or Raider fans. Brian Dawkins even said that our fans are a lot calmer than in Philadelphia.
