be proud of them it shows that part or who you are is a mother. everyone nowadays worries too much about looks. it sounds like you have a loving husband and two i'm sure wonderful kids. anyone who comments on them being ugly ect is too shallow to see past them.

I have a 10 week old baby, I religiously rubbed Bio oil on my tummy and I was very lucky not to get any stretch marks. I do however have a few on my ***, from teenage years, and I've always been a size 8/10, even now, with no sudden weight gain or loss. I accept the fact that I have them, its just the way it is. I am neither the first or the last to get them, so why should I worry. There are more important things in life. Don't let it worry you. In fact you'll be surprised how nobody else apart from you actually notices 'imperfections' because people are too preoccupied with their own probs and 'imperfections' to care or bother with yours. Enjoy life, your hubby and your kids, thats all that matters. Some people have absolutely no stretch marks, but they have health probs. Which one would you rather choose?

Hi Marlo, I'm not sure of you have tried the product Bio-oil as you don't say, but it really helped me. I have very large hips and I'm a larger girl so I have quite large breasts. I had large purple-pink stretch marks all over my hips and coming down towards my thighs, and on my breasts. I used Bio-oil when I first started noticing these marks as they really bothered me. In a few months they had all faded to a pale silver or were completely gone. I don't use Bio-oil anymore, as I have no more stretch marks, but as soon as I notice anymore I'll use it again. I love Bio-oil and plus, it smells really delicious, a bit like cinnamon buns :) I realize that there has been several bad reviews of the product, but it worked for me and my cousin. We both had really bad marks, now we don't. Try Bio-oil. I hope this product helps you as it helped me :) Good luck xo

If feel that stretch marks are a badge of a real woman. I have them running down my tummy from under my boobs to my inner thighs. There is no way I can get away with wearing a bikini. I do like wearing the tankini (sorry on spelling). They are cute and cover the tummy. Whether or not you get stretch marks depends on the type of skin you have. Girls that don't get them are very lucky.

listen mom of 2 I have a secret on how to get those beauty marks to fade a little :when you get out of the shower don't dry off put lots of baby oil on and rub in real good then pat dry very softly do this every time you get in the bath or shower in time those beauty marks will turn white and not be so noticeable :this is coming from the spouse of Robert catlett and mother of 3 kids... 2 are grown and 1 is 15 and thinks he knows it all but I thought I would pass my secret along since it has worked for me...now you got to stay with the process and before you know it you will see a change....but hey be proud to show the world those beauty marks and put on that bikini because it really doesn't matter what people think or say... you are beautiful and don't you forget it, even your husband will agree with me on this one hon

I wear a bikini and am proud to show my stretch marks. They are like a badge of motherhood to me. There's not anything that I can do to make them go away so I just have to live with the fact that they are a part of me.now.
It sounds like you also have a loving husband who loves you just the way you are. I know that you may feel self concious about them, but no one else will bat an eye about them. If you're a mother you have them. If you're a mother and you don't have them you're lucky but most of us have them.

Stretch marks can be unsightly, but if they don't really bother you then you should let them restrict you from what you wear. I have a few, nothing too bad, and they have all turned to skin color, so they're hard to see. If you really have an issue with them and it's making you self concious, I'd recommend that you see a good plastic surgeon. Maybe something can be done to remedy the problem. Personally, it doesn't bother me to see them on other women. To me, it's like your stripes of honor!

I have the same problem. I am a mother of four and to tell you the truth i still wear a bikini. It all depends on your comfort level with yourself. My husband thinks I am beautiful the way that I am so that helps me alot. I say to hell with whatever everybody's perfect body is supposed to look like and be proud that you can still fit into a bikini.

I have stretch marks too, and i can understand how you feel about them.
They get me down because they are very visible and i cant wear what id like to.
I used coco butter on them and it helped. They are still there but over time and with the cream they have faded alot.
There more silver coloured now, instead of the very dark pink they were before.
I feel alot more confident about them now. If you look around your not alone, lots of women have them.

I think there is nothing wrong at all with stretch marks. They're part of you, part of your history, you can look at them and remember your two beautiful children. There are loads of people who have stretch marks and i don't think it should restrict what you wear. Be proud of your body... and listen to your husband...
