NO more or no less than any other country. However it is unfortunate that they get preferential treatment. The country is indeed being hit by rockets, but seriously...I would take rockets to a missile fired from an M16 fighter jet. How is this response balanced in any logical way? Israel has NEVER had to face a U.N resolution, EVER. The U.S uses her veto power when ever democracy gets in the way hmmmm... Seriously, it is not the people of Israel or the Arab countries that are to blame, but their leaders(elected or otherwise). The people are brainwashed into thinking one collective thought (like the BORG), if you dare to criticize you are labeled an anti-Semite, (using the Semite Card). How is anyone supposed to sit down and have a meaningful discourse about the Middle East? The ratio of Lebanese to Israeli dead is currently 10 to 1, if this is a balanced response for 2 solders...God help us all if the Israeli government ever feels truly threatened( remember they have NUKES). That said, I sincerely hope that Israel makes friends, because the balance of power is shifting to the east (China, perhaps India). These countries do not care much about the foundation of Western religions.. Just to add, this use of the word terrorist...is getting kind of tired, really. Those who know their history, know very well that Israel was founded by terrorists (just look up the King David hotel bombing). The nonsense about being the only democracy is well...exactly that. Simple if you give the Palestinians the right to vote then you know what will happen. I will add that I am neither Arab or Jewish, I am also not an American, but I feel so sorry for all parties involved.

Not in the sense U're implying.
There is a small number of Jews that would like to co-exist with their neighbours & share sovereignty of Jerusalem but it's not enough 2 change the war-mongers minds.
They want Jerusalem 4 themselves & them alone!
That is what this latest battle is about.
Israel taking by force, not returning 2 '67 borders as agreed & killing the Middle east Peace Process, Dead.
Shame on Israel & UR ignoring what UR good book says 2 suit, just like all the other religions!
Where does it say Kill UR Neighbours & steal their land?
If I had a Bomb I'd obliterate Jerusalem & leave them 2 argue over the rubble.

Perhaps you might feel just a tad different if I lobbed over a hundred Kassam rockets at you every single day for a year ... :)
To answer your question ... yes ... I do care about Israel, and I don't want to see the nation destroyed by Arab hate ...
And I thank what ever god above there is that "warmongers" stopped Hitlers rampage thru Europe and put an end his systematic destruct of entire races and classes of people.

Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East and our only ally in the region. They are surrounded on all sides by terrorists, the same terrorists who bombed Britain, India and the US on 9-11. They are doing what the US should be doing, removing terrorist headquarters and missiles. Go, Israel, go.

Yes, I do. I love the Jewish people (although I am a gentile) and firmly believe that they are God's chosen people. God said in the Bible that He would bless the nations who bless Israel and curse the nations who curse Israel. The United States has prospered because we have stayed loyal to Israel.

Israel is in a fairly unique situation in that their closest 10 or so neighbors would love nothing more than to wipe them out. In that I give them a little more understanding in their extreme methods of protecting themselves and their own.

Yes I do. I think they have shown courage to face what they have on a daily basis. I do however want them to stay at the negotiation table and try to show their neighbors that they only want to be left alone to live their lives in peace. As long as we reward terrorist this will not happen.
