I still do believe in Santa Claus.
This is not a sarcastic answer. I don't believe in a jolly old man who rides around in a sleigh delivering toys. However the spirit of Christmas as represented by Santa Claus is alive and well and definitely worth believing in.

I believed in Santa Claus and I loved Christmas! Every Christmas morning my brother and I would run around the house searching for our presents. "Santa" would hide them around the house and it was like a scavenger hunt, looking for them in the kitchen, bathroom, behind curtains, & under the bed!
When I started to get older though, I started to suspect that my Mom was Santa when she started slipping. First it was her handwriting on some of the presents and her notes from Santa & then a price tag and a receipt. For the longest time I wouldn't say anything because I still wanted to believe, but the older and wiser I got, the harder it was to ignore all the signs. I eventually got her to break down and tell me the truth, hoping I was wrong, but she told me the truth. I cried so much.
I lied to my brother and told him he was real, but eventually he got me to tell him the truth. Unfortunately, he's 3.5 years younger so he found out a lot sooner than I did. (I don't remember how old I was). We didn't tell Mom that my brother knew so that we could milk a few years out of her, but she was on to us soon enough.
I'm just glad that Santa was in our life longer than most kids. Kids are so cynical now a days and ruin it for other kids in school. I just hope that I can keep the spirit alive long enough for my future kids to enjoy it.

I used to believe in Santa Claus, until I was about 8, I went downstairs for a glass of water & caught my parents wrapping the gifts.

Of course I did. When I was about eight, the school bully told me that there is no Santa Claus. That night, at supper, I told my family what had happened. After supper, my father took me aside and told me that there is no Santa Claus. I couldn't believe that my father had taken the school bully's side!

yes, i did, when i was about 5 or 6, i was up late and was going to check up on the presents, to see if santa had been here yet, and the front room door was closed, but i could hear the adults, laughing, talking, drinking, etc. i knew that the adults knew that santa would not show if they were still up, which meant santa wasnt coming, but i knew i would still get present from santa, which meant the adults was giving the presents. funny how it really never bothered me.

I believed in Santa Claus with all my heart. When I was little, there never seemed to be enough extra money around to account for the massive pile of gifts that showed up on Christmas morning.
I found out one year when my mom wouldn't let me into her bedroom and my sister said that it was because she "thought she could get one more year out of me." Well, duh, I was a smart kid and I figured out what that meant immediately. The irony is that they WOULD have gotten another year out of me if my sister hadn't said that.

I was 8 or 9, and I found out he wasn't real because there was a price tag still on the GigaPet that was supposed to be from Santa.
