i'm lookin into buying a horse and i found this really good one but she's 21 years old. wat is the usual life expectancy of a female and male horse?

Horses can live well into their thirties, but whether you can ride them for that long depends on their life, and how they've been treated. People have forgotten to mention that horses of that age are more prone to illness, and can have things like heart/ lung problems, arthritis, etc. I would definately have a vet out to check that she is in good health and has a few more "riding years" left. Usuallly by the time they are between 20 & 25, you need to consider retiring them. This means that they can only be ridden occassionally, and nothing too hard on them, like jumping, etc. If you're ok with that it should be a nice horse for you.

21 is a great age for a horse especially if your a beginner then she won't be to spunky but they all have their moments. Most horses live well into their 30's. So this is a good aged horse. By this time they have learned a lot and are ready to begin to teach you things.

They normally live between 20 and 30 years, so the horse may just have a few years left. You should be able to get it cheaply. because of the age. If not, I would buy a younger one that has several good years left.

Depends, they can live to 30, it mainly depends on the state of their teeth and whether they have any medical problems.
