My husband and I have been good friends with a married couple for 5 years. They now have a two and a half year old son and a 6 month old baby.

I really love this family, they are good people and my friends are amazing parents. We see them as much as we can, about once or twice a month at their home.

Problem is that I really want a child, my husband agreed to start trying next year for a baby, but everytime I spend time with their kids it actually makes my heart hurt!

I am almost jealous because they have precious children and its the one thing I want most in my life right now.

I still want to see them, and I know it will be fun when we all have children, but how do I deal with it until I am pregnant with my own?

I can relate. I would just say all that love inside you for a baby is great and you have time to have babies yourself. For right now...since you don't...love those kids! You can care about those kids too. And learn and see how it is. It is alot easier to love on other's peoples kids...because you don't have to deal with the bad/hard stuff...like when they are sick and when they talk back or don't listen. You can play with them and love on them.

It will happen and just try your hardest to be happy for your friends and it will all work out!

Have you let your husband know how you feel? I would start there. Tell him you don't want to wait. Tell him how much it hurts you to not have a child. Maybe you can come to some middle ground.

ask your friends to let you borrow them...No really, babysit for them. And talk to your husband about starting sooner. The sooner the better
