They are out to nanny and control every aspect of our life They have got rid of our borders and can't wait to hand us over to the EU. I want to know when we are going to wake up?

In what way is the government 'out to get us'? Whatever people think, they believe they are doign what is best for us, the government dont exist to make our lives a misery.

VERITAS, You just show your stupidity. Firstly, New Labour is not a left-wing party, it is a centre-doctrine dominated party, most of the old Left were wiped out by Kinnock and Blair.
The government is not, and never will be, Totalitarian. You clearly dont know the true meaning of the word, our government for all their problems are not controlling-facists.
Ruled by Scots? Please, do me a favour ,actually read up on the West Lothian Question. We control alot more of Scotland then they do in England. They have no separate Trade, Foreign, Defence or Economic powers, only Whitehall controls those. Secondly, we are a UNITED Kingdom. So what if our propsed prime minister is a Scot, just because your ignorant of the issue doesnt mean you should spout like a Sun reader.
And the thing with Europe?
Please, just dont get involved. The empire is dead, Britain is not a world superpower anymore, anybody living in the real world will tell you that Union with Europe is the only way to survive the challenges of China, India and Russia.

I'm not sure what 'out to get us' means. I think most politicians will do almost anything to get us to vote for them, so in that sense they are 'out to get our vote' - because they want to stay in power or get into power. I don't think it's about public service any more, if it ever was.

yes, it certainly looks that way doesn't it - i'm a nurse and the government are cutting back on jobs for nhs nurses but employ nurses from abroad..doesn't make sense to me at all!!

Having read your question I can only answer in quotes.
Percentage of UK population who feels that our govt is out to get us? As K9 would say "TOO MANY VARIABLES DOCTOR" and as you state "our" govt which would imply that we are out to get ourselves, as the german soldier in Rowan and Martin's Laugh In would say "INTERESTINK...... BUT STUPID!!"
