i was picked on until i stood up and punched the guy in the face.from then on no one picked on me...i guess picking on some one makes them feel superior..but it really shows how small they are when they do that,

I was picked on everyday of the week. It got so bad that I attempted to take my own life. It was relentless. I envied the dead. I quit school as soon as I could and joined the Army. Was sent to Vietnam where I was wounded twice. The last I lost my legs. To this day If I had a choice of going back to one or the other I would choose Vietnam. This may sound horrible but once after a fire fight I imagined that I just got revenge on those that made my life a living hell. But maybe that was what pushed me in Nam. I am not a bragger but I was a damm god soldier and have medals to prove it including two Purple Hearts. Even after all of there years it still hurts. The pain of my physical wounds that I received in Vietnam are long put the pain of being someones target all though school will never leave

I was picked on at school..however this bullying made me bully another little girl I would run into on the way home from school until she told her big brother. Then my bullying days were over (I was still bullied of course)

I got picked on like all get out. Can I really phrase it like that and get away with it?

But, it only made my sense of humor stronger, my skill for sarcasm and wit more refined, and my desire to please other people with materialistic or shallow actions disappear.

So, in the end, I wouldn'thave had it any other way. A strong lesson is much better than smooth sailing. Smooth Sailing, in my opinion, can become quite boring as a daily activity.

I was often involved in fights with boys. However, rarely about being picked on myself, but mostly because I hated people who picked on others. By the time I was old enough to date there wasn't a boy who's but I hadn't beat up... I have to tell you it made it a challenge to find a date for the prom (LOL).

Seriously, however, I think that being able to stand for others taught me to stand up for myself. Don't be afraid to stand for yourself. Remember...YOU ARE WORTH FIGHTING FOR!

Having said that... Sometimes, walking away from a fight or telling an adult whom you trust about it can save lots of physical pain. And I must say... Very many times, it is braver and smarter to either talk or walk your way out. I must admit that I admired my youngest brother the most because he could always talk his way out of a confrontation and come out on top of the situation.

I was flying under the radar. Nobody noticed me and I kept to myself except for a small close group of friends.
