what would you do if you came home and found your significant other being attacked?

the atacker is wielding a very sharp knife and has already made evident willingness to do bodily harm.
the attacker has cut the victim and shows no sign of stopping.
so,what do you do?

i would get the gun, and since i would have several i would find one with the stopping power to harm the attacker but not go through to the victim, if i could SAFELY get a shot off, then i would shoot him.

your question is sort of vague, can i take the knife away from the attacker? is my so incapacitated or still moving around?

has he seen me, or can i sneak up with a frying pan? what state am i in and can i legally use deadly force?

Grab my cell phone, punch in 911, while picking up something big and throwing it at the attacker or hitting them over the head.

I would hit the fire alarm to gain attention and use that distraction to grab my Springfield 9mm (just make sure the body lands inside the house)

I would grab my purse and pay the attacker for finishing the job that I paid him to do! Just kidding, of course:)

No matter which door I came in - I have a loaded gun by it. And one in the bedroom. So, I'm taking it he didn't hear or see me come in. I simply shoot to kill. He wouldn't stand a chance. Nor take another breath.

I don't think you would have time to call 911, they could kill them with in moment. Who would take the time to call?

first off if you are going to use a baseball batt on them don't draw their attention to you till they feel the hard crack of your batt against their skull.
