Are the Israeli attacks on Southern Lebanon in accordance with International Law, and simply disproportionate; or do they lack legal support based on international law?

They do lack legal support, but no one is ready to tell that to the United States... basically, Israel invaded Lebanon and is bombing the crap out of them because there are terrorists (an emotionally charged synonym of criminal) there...

which, if that was legal, would entitle anybody to invade anybody.

Israel is defending itself by bombing a city full of civilians to get even with what is probably less than 25 people when all is said and done...

and they attacked first when they kicked the Palestinians out of their own land and we let them because everyone felt sorry that the Jews had no where else to go.

I do not think that kidnapping Israeli soldiers is legal,The Israelis have only done what any decent country would, they are trying to get back Israeli citizens.
If the troops are returned the fighting will stop

Are the Southern Lebanon attacks on Israel legal? Are you saying Israel has no right to defend themselves?

EVERY COUNTRY HAS THE LEGAL RIGHT TO DEFEND THEMSELVES! They were attacked first!
And, as we all know, their enemies have sworn to wipe Israel off the face of the map for no reason!

I fail to see how it can be considered legal.
People refer to these attacks as CONFLICT.
It sure looks like war to me but war has not officially been declared.
