I read about this on Reader's Digest Magazine (February 2006), and I think this is terrible.

Children are dying and being injured because it is not drugs or illegal and as adolescent do, they believe they are invincible.
Compounded by 75% of parents having no knowledge of this activity's existence. Parents, officials, and law enforcement need to be educated as the ever growing popularity or this deadly activity in order for our children to be safe.
Game is so pointless!!!

I personally know a kid whose friend was playing the choking game and died from the parents not realizing that their kid was actually choking. The young boy died. This unfortunate accident was brought to my attention and now that I am a little more informed I will know better if my daughter who is only a few months old is playing or not. I never really liked those games. I had more fun with the diarrhea song if anything else when I was little.

It is stupid and dangerous.
What has the world come to when teens are chocking themselves just to get high.
I think something should be done about the fact that so many teen are taking drugs and playing games like the chocking game just to get high. But apparently our government is too busy starting wars to do something about it that will bring some changes

In middle school (around 1991-1993) I once saw a group of kids doing this in the locker cage at school. One guy fell and banged his head pretty bad. Talk about losers!

Ya when I was 12... we did it during recess at school. I could never actually faint but a lot of my friends did now that I'm older and more mature (25) I see how dangerous it really was and how lucky me and my friends were that we didn't' get seriously injured.

Haven't ever practiced it, but have heard of people using it for sexual pleasure. Unfortunately, it has also killed some people. It is very risky. I've never heard it being used in play before with adolescents. This is unnerving.

I just went to the web site and I cried like a baby! I have 3 kids which I have already talked to prier to seeing the web site. I couldn't imagine loosing my children. I would want to die!

My friends and I used to play this during recess. I guess back then it wasn't such a big deal. Some teachers wouldn't even notice and most wouldn't say anything if they did notice.
It's crazy...I hope my kids never play it.

As a very young teen, my cousin showed this to me and we did it for awhile. I don't know why I ever did such a stupid thing. I guess we just don't think things through when we're that young.
