Don't worry about anyone's pride, it's something to be gotten over anyway. No one's on a pedestal, I don't care how much money they make.

You can always Reapologize more meaningfully

You can always give him attention now

You can always tell him the truth and how it is is what it is.

Only he knows if you still have a chance. But my advice to him after bowing off your apology and ignoring him for 2 years you dont deserve a second chance. How can you let 2 years go past without resolving whatever issue it is and now decide you want him back. People change especially when they get hurt by people they love. Who is to say you both are still the same and who is to say he could ever trust in you again? Why now all of a sudden you want him back after what you have done. I may not know what exactly you did but if you ignored him for 2 years I imagine its pretty big. Best to move on, realize your mistake and vow not to let that happen again to you. Dont torture this poor man and put him in another position to get hurt again by you. If you cant respect him the first time around what makes him think you will the second time?

I hate to tell you this, but this is a pretty classic situation. The more you love each other, the bigger the drama. If you talk to any group of older people about this or check out the endless novels, operas and films on exactly this situation, you will see that many, many people have faced what you're now facing. It is occasionally possible to salvage these great romances, but the odds are against you. But it is possible. Perhaps fate will do you a good turn. Do the best you can to get through to him and mend your ways. Good luck with it. I know my comment was pessimistic, but I really hope you succeed.

2 years? Sorry but no guy waits for 2 years. If he did, he's pathetic and probably really ugly (no offense). Good luck with that.

Don't we always want something we can't have? If you get him back, are you going to hurt him again? Or would he have a reason to trust you. Try talking to him, but good luck. Hope he is forgiving.

Well, then, think before you hurt someone. I know if I was him, I would never go back to you. Good luck.

if he has move on with his life NO you don't
If he still free try talking to him and admit you were wrong.
it will probably take some time for you to build a solid relationship with him again but, take a chance.
