So you choose to personally insult anyone who even asks the question? Is that how you operate? Attack the messenger.

According to a Zogby poll, Half of NYC believed their was a 911 cover up. It's a valid question worth open debate. Check out the "New Pearl Harbor" by David Ray Griffith for a great read on 911.

David Ray Griffiths book is very well written and asks honest questions. Have you read the book or are you attacking him too?

The nation is in a state of cognitive dissonance. It wouldn't be the first time. Look to the Gulf of Tonkin or Operation Northwoods as two examples and there are many more. Griffiths book shows many, many examples that if our government didn't orchastrate 911 they at least were complicit in allowing it to happen. Check out Alex Jones new DVD "Terror Storm" for many documented examples of government sponsered terrorism.

I read Griffith's book and found it absolutely fascinating. Am I convinced that 9/11 was an inside job? No. Am I convinced that we were lied to, that we don't know what actually happened and that there are many, many unaswered and troubling questions? Absolutely.

As to your question -- assuming 9/11 was truly an inside job planned, condoned, or intentionally not prevented by our government, the fact is that the general populous could not handle that type of information. We all must believe in something. And believing that our leaders could do something so atrocious is something that most of us can't stomach. It's the same reason Nixon was pardoned -- because it was felt that the nation could not handle having a president impeached and removed for such abhorrent activities. Nixon was pardoned to protect our nation's psyche.

There is a term in psychology -- cognitive dissonance. It means that people will believe anything, no matter how outlandish, to protect their psyches from contradicting cognitions. In other words -- we believe that which spares our psyche pain even in the face of the most damning evidence.

Religion is a prime example. Nobody has proof that God exists, yet the belief in Him persists.

We can't believe that our government could be capable of such an atrocity. So we don't believe it. No matter what the evidence, we will not believe it.

Throw on top of that some of the crazy, and objectifiably false, conspiracy theories that have been floating around since 9/11 and you have a perfect cocktail for disbelief.

If the U.S government had a hand in 9/11, the American people as a whole will never believe it.

Why don't you explain it to us? I think that tin foil hat is cutting the circulation off to your brain. You might want to take it off.

Edit
If half of NYC told you to jump off the Brooklyn bridge, would you? I know what I saw, it wasn't an inside job. Learn to think for yourself. And if you're going to give me a source, make it objective.

Edit
How can it be honest, this isn't an honest subject when people like you and the author spin it for your twisted agendas?

When it's proven to be true, which it hasn't been. If anything, it's proven to be false.
