California does not make specific information available to the public except as required by Megan's Law,and does not maintain a searchable database but if you need to locate an inmate within the California Department of Corrections, please call (916) 445-6713, which is available 24 hours a day. You must have either the inmate's CDC number, or the inmate's full name and date of birth to receive information. The Inmate Locator/ID Warrants will provide an inmate's location, mailing addresses and relevant phone numbers. The Inmate Locator/ID Warrants will not provide any future release date information. Please note that for new or transferring inmates it can take up to seven business days to update location information.

or try www.vinelink.com but I find them next to useless... I tested the system by entering the information I know to be current for four inmates in various facilities, only one hit and that person is still awaiting trial...I'm not impressed.

well you can call the lawyer that handle his case and he can tell you or maybe your nepew sign himself in this website that put the inmates pic and adress outthere so they can find pen-pals
www.inmate_connection.com and look for him there... everyother way is going to cost you.. if you know the prision where he is at then you can call the prison and they might help you. good luck.

Look for your state's govt. website.

And they have all of the prisons...you should be able to find him with his name.

I've looked up people this way and it gives you their address.

good luck
