The income method isn't really accurate, especially since you don't know exactly how much each employee makes.

The normal consumer spending is probably closer to the truth. Last year, WMT had sales of 316B.

Assuming 1.3 million employees and value-added per employee of $30,000, value added by Wal-Mart is about $39 billion, or about 0.3% of U.S. GDP.
