Dell, IBM, HP, eMachines are all good. What ever you do do not purchase from Circuit City. The people there do not know anything and if something goes wrong with the PC the service plan they sell requires you to take the PC to Circuit City which in turn gets shipped to their off site location. Best Buy and CompUsa aren't bad. Best is to buy directly from the Dell, IBM, eMachines. Try to stay away from Compaq (cheap and trust me you will get a cheap product...unless you want to buy a server which can cost you thousands)

Try a site sometimes they have good deals from these companies http://slickdeals.net random deals but have to keep an eye out on this site, deals come fast and go fast.
