There are only the very rarest of cases of albanism in insects. These type of mutations are very rare. Many praying manits can change their color to better blend in with their environments. I have had praying mantises in captivity that changed from gree to brown to white, so it is not uncommon to see tham with white pigments. If they are commonly found hunting in white flowers, they will be colored white.

Yes, there is such a thing as an albino anything with pigments because albino is just not having the pigments you should have.

Sure there is, I think most creatures can be albino since it's a gene thing. I think there are some light or white colored ones in some places, but there are others that are true albinos.

I wouldn't doubt it.

A few weeks ago I saw an albino Palmetto bug, which is Florida's giant roach. Suprised the heck out of me. Still ugly though.

Yes, there is.

From the source:

"Albinism is a point mutation of one or more genes that control pigmentation, such as melanin in verts. Insects follow the same rules for mutations as any other organism.... and their pigment gene is no exception."

albino is an impurity in their genetic makeup and they do exist. usually die before they get a chance to tan. albinos are easier to pick out.

it was given its name because some person who has obviously seen someone pray, or had themselves prayed, recognized the pose. That praying mantis isn't tied to religion at all other than the unfortunate name.
