What do you mean 'more related'? The English language is mostly Germanic (nothern european), with a lot of latin and french influence. The English people are now thought to be a combination of native ancient Britons, celts, romans, anglo-saxons and vikings.

I don't really understand your question. Both Northern and Southern European groups have invaded the British isles throughout history, resulting in a combination of the two in the population and the language.

If you had to put England into either Northern Europe or Southern Europe, it is definitely considered Northern. Southern usually refers to mediterranean countries.

Historically England has been invaded by more northern European countries (I was going to list them but it boggles the mind how many nations have wandered through!) and they have left massive traces in the cultural melting-pot but currently it has "invaded" more southern European countries (usually coastal and sunny.)
