We can do that by add another elephant to the total so we will have 18 and then give 1/2 to the first one which equal 9 ,, then 1/3 of total to the second which equal 6 and then we give the 3ed 1/9 which equal 2 ,, and we will have 1 elephant left which will take it back ,, 9+6+2= 17
